Punjabi, Hindi & Urdu Speaking Doctor in Calgary

Talking to your doctor in your first language isn't a luxury — it's better medicine. Omega Medical Clinic's physicians speak Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, and English fluently, serving Calgary's South Asian community at Panjab Centre on 88 Ave NE.

Why Patients Choose Us

The details that matter when you need care fast.

Punjabi (ਪੰਜਾਬੀ)

Three of our physicians speak Punjabi fluently — including dialects.

Hindi (हिन्दी)

Full Hindi consultations available with all our physicians.

Urdu (اردو)

Dr. Ahmed and Dr. Gill speak Urdu fluently.

Multilingual reception staff

From the front desk to the pharmacy, you'll be understood throughout your visit.

Cultural understanding

Sensitive topics like mental health, women's health, and end-of-life care discussed with cultural awareness.

Family-centered care

Bring parents, in-laws, or siblings — everyone in the room can be part of the conversation.

Why language matters in healthcare

Studies in the Canadian Medical Association Journal show that patients who consult with their physician in their first language:

  • Report higher satisfaction with care
  • Follow treatment plans more accurately
  • Have fewer hospital readmissions
  • Are far more likely to bring up sensitive concerns (mental health, sexual health, fertility)

When you're describing chest pain, explaining a child's symptoms, or talking about a mental health concern — every word matters. Translating in real time leads to misdiagnosis and missed care.
